Tim Lee, Managing Director
Mr. Lee has more than 20 years of structured finance experience at major national and international financial institutions.
His previous responsibilities include origination, pricing, structuring, syndication, and/or closing of a wide variety of complex transactions (more than $20 billion of investment opportunities in Asia, Europe and the US). His lengthy deal sheet includes managing the entire financing process from the initial prospecting stages to closing structured transactions in sectors including renewable energy, alternative investment vehicles, leasing, project financing, distressed asset, natural resources, trade finance, legal settlement financing, private investments in public equity, and restructuring/terminating transactions.
Prior to joining AB Financing, Mr. Lee served as a Director at KBC Bank where he focused on renewable energy financing, quantitative financial modeling (partnership flip, sale & leaseback, lease pass-through, and secured/unsecured debt structures) and hedge fund portfolios. Prior to KBC Bank, Mr. Lee was with SMBC Leasing & Finance (Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp), where he arranged transactions for lessees, investors, and lenders on tax oriented transactions. Mr. Lee also previously worked for Wachovia Securities and KDB (Korea Development Bank) Capital. His sector expertise includes real estate, commercial and corporate aircraft, infrastructure projects, railcar, locomotives, power plants, and manufacturing equipment.
His academic qualifications include: a BBA from Yonsei University, an MBA from University of Minnesota and a Master of Financial Engineering from Cornell University.
Alex Kramarchuk, Managing Director
Mr. Kramarchuk is an executive with over twenty years of expertise in Investment Banking and Corporate Finance.
Over the last seven years, he has established a track record of sourcing, evaluating, and closing over $400 million of investment and project opportunities in the renewable energy industry. Mr. Kramarchuk has been involved in corporate finance and investment banking for over ten years and holds an MBA with an emphasis on Finance and Strategy.
As an Investment Banker, he specialized in mergers & acquisitions and in raising private equity and mezzanine capital for middle market public and private companies. His primary responsibilities included researching, originating, and managing the execution of transactions from $5 to $50 million in the media, entertainment and telecom infrastructure and services industries.
He spent fifteen years in entertainment as an Assistant Director and Production Manager for theatrical and television movies,
as well as television series. He has been engaged in the creative and financial packaging of entertainment properties for companies that include Warner Brothers and Destination Films.
He has demonstrated expertise in project development, project finance, and tax credit equity structuring. He has developed
an extensive professional network amongst investors and developers. He is currently a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Ignacio Carrasco, Managing Director
Mr. Carrasco has more than ten years of experience in power generation industry and electricity markets. Prior to Mr. Carrasco’s involvement with AB Financing, his previous responsibilities include being a member of the Board of the Chilean Independent System Operator (CDEC-SIC), CDEC Manager at SNPower and Senior Energy Analyst for Campanario Power Generation Co. He has participated in national public bidding process for regulated price customers, power purchase agreement design/negotiation for mining and industrial clients, and carbon emission market. Also, he has a lot of experience in appraisal and project development for hydropower, wind, biomass and gas power plant projects, covering more than 2 GW in capacity. In addition, Mr. Carrasco worked as Senior Consultant for the Chilean National Regulatory Office (CNE) in long-term energy planning. He started his career as a market research analyst for the Arauco forestry company and worked as Deputy Finance Manager in PLZ steel industry and as a supply chain analyst.
Mr. Carrasco is also an Associate Professor at the Industrial and System Engineer Department of Universidad Católica of Chile. Mr. Carrasco has a PhD in optimization and a Master of Science in Engineering from Universidad Católica of Chile.
Christopher Wikberg, Managing Director
Mr. Wikberg has a ten year track record in the PV solar industry. Mr. Wikberg worked in different senior management positions for various globally acting EPCs and PV module manufacturers mainly responsible for their international PV project businesses. His previous responsibilities include the realization of several multi-MW solar power plants covering project due-diligence, acquisition/origination, project financing, project sales, and national and cross-border M&A transactions in the PV industry. Mr. Wikberg has extensive experience in the PV industry in both established and emerging PV solar markets throughout Europe, the U.S.A., the Middle East, and South Africa.
Besides Mr. Wikberg’s involvement with AB Financing, he also advises clients with the entire acquisition/sales process of PV power plants, particularly in project finance. His advisory services also extend to helping clients optimize their procurement of PV components.
Earlier in his career Mr. Wikberg worked as Management Consultant for Price Waterhouse in the financial services industry focusing on the asset management industry in both Europe and the US.
Mr. Wikberg graduated in Business Administration and Economics from the university in Cologne, Germany and has a Master’s Degree from the Community of European Management Schools (CEMS) having studied at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and ESADE Barcelona, Spain. He is fluent in English, German, Spanish, and Norwegian and conversant in French and Dutch.
Theodore J. Kim, CFA, Managing Director
Mr. Kim is an advisor to AB Financing and commands over 15 years experience in law, financial media, investment banking, capital markets research, and asset management. He launched the North American financial services practice of a London and Delhi based global independent research firm delivering customized research solutions to buy side and sell side Wall Street firms. Previously, he developed a structured credit research and market intelligence product line for a capital markets research firm.
In the risk management space, he developed the risk management and pricing infrastructure for a global long-short emerging market credit hedge fund and built a distressed debt quantitative modeling platform to value and identify opportunities in certain sectors – such as auto parts and real estate.
He also serves as Associate Director and Strategic Market Intelligence Analyst for E&Y in the Global Asset Management Sector producing research and advising institutional clients on forward trends in the asset management industry. His focus includes risk management, compliance, emerging markets and business development.
His academic qualifications include the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA), the Financial Risk Manager certification (FRM), an MSc. in International Economics from the University of Paris 1, Pantheon-Sorbobnne, and a BSc. (Economics) from
the London School of Economics. He is also an attorney at law at the Bar of England and Wales.
Roger Dabbah, PhD, MBA, Managing Director
Dr Dabbah joined AB Financing in 2014 to provide expertise in the marketing of API and intermediates manufactured overseas to US Pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the US.
Prior to joining AB- Financing, Dr Dabbah served as Director of the division of Complex Actives at the US Pharmacopeia, a not-for-profit organization developing quality standards for API, intermediates, and finished products via expert committees composed of representatives of governments, industry, and academia. Prior to the USP Dr. Dabbah was Corporate Director of Microbiology, Sterilization and Immunology for Baxter Healthcare, and Manager of Biological and Information Sciences for Abbott Laboratories Nutritional Division.
Currently, Dr. Dabbah is an adjunct professor in technology management for the University of Maryland, University College graduate school teaching courses such as project management, risk management in projects. He previously taught courses in strategic management of R & D, marketing for high tech organizations, and human resources management. He is also an adjunct practitioner for Johns Hopkins University, Whiting school of engineering teaching courses on project management. He is also the Principal Consultant for Tri-Intersect Solutions, and a consultant for NSF-Health Sciences. Recently Roger joined the commercial Division of Long & Foster as a Leasing & Sale Consultant , specializing in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry real estate needs.
Dr. Dabbah is the authors of numerous published papers and articles and chapters in technical books on a variety of technical and managerial topic. He is also the authors of two books, one on” Total Project Management-Strategies and Tactics for the Healthcare Industries” and one on “Total R & D Management-Strategies and Tactics for the 21st Century Healthcare Manufacturers”
His academic qualifications include a BA and an MS from the University of Minnesota, a PhD from the University of Maryland, and an MBA from the University of Dayton in Ohio.
Jeremy Reeh, Managing Director
Mr. Reeh has over 5 years of experience in the Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology industries with a primary focus on strategic sourcing/procurement and supply chain within discovery, pre-clinical, and clinical R&D. His previous experience includes Johnson & Johnson, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and Novo Nordisk where he has supported and led R&D efforts to build strategic, value-added alliances with global and regional Contract Research Organizations (CROs), clinical technology providers, and biotech licensing partners.
Prior to joining AB Financing, Mr. Reeh served as Co-Managing director of the Garber Fund- the nation’s largest and most active student-centric venture fund at the Penn State Smeal College of Business. As Co-Managing director he was responsible for generating deal flow for the fund, securing co-investors, and developing investment theses for prospective investments. Mr. Reeh was successful in securing seed-stage funding from the Garber Fund’s investment committee on behalf of Indigo BioSciences; a biotech start-up in operation since 2005 providing high-quality, confidential screening services and assay kits for drug discovery and toxicology research. Mr. Reeh also represented the Garber Fund as the sole board overseer of Indigo BioSciences, and was principal organizer of the first-annual Nittany Lion Venture Capital Conference.
His formal academic credentials include: a BS from Pennsylvania State University, Masters of Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in corporate finance and supply chain management from the Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business.
Sérgio Rodrigues, Managing Director
Mr. Rodrigues has more than 19 years of shipping industry experience. His responsibilities include business development, marketing, pricing, and creating business proposals.
Prior to joining AB Financing, Mr. Rodrigues worked for Navalrocha Shipyard. Prior to Navalrocha, Mr. Rodrigues was with Lisnave Shipyard.
His academic qualifications include a BSc. in Marine Engineer from Nautical School, “Fundamentals of Contract and Change Management for Ship Construction, Repair and Design” at Royal Institution of Naval Architects and a Management Program from AESE Business School.
Joe Sanchez, Managing Director
Mr. Sanchez’s experience includes over 20 years in finance, business development, and technology in companies such as Oracle, where he has been the Worldwide Director of Product, Pricing, and Revenue Operations for middleware and database products since October 2005, and a Director of Corporate Strategy and Business Development from October 2002 to October 2005. Prior to Oracle, Mr. Sanchez was a Vice President at Savoy Capital, a $100 million hedge fund, where he was responsible for portfolio companies and investments mostly in infrastructure and real estate. Prior to that, Mr. Sanchez was a corporate and project finance associate attorney at a large law firm in New York, and an Associate at Eli Lilly & Company in the corporate development group. Mr. Sanchez started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Sanchez holds an MBA from University of Michigan, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Kor Yong Kang, Alan, Director
Mr. Alan Kor has more than 18 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry. He has worked for major Oil & Gas companies and EPC contractors such as Worleyparson, Kvaerner and Technip. He was responsible for engineering, design, project execution & management and commissioning works through organizing and supervision of projects and ensuring successful completion of projects to major companies/clients. He has been involved in major offshore and onshore projects. His major clients include Shell, Murphy Oil, Petronas, Woodside, and Apache Energy. He graduated from Swansea Institute of Technology with a major in Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation.
Jeff Adams, Business Development Manager
Mr. Adams joins AB Financing as an experienced Business Development Manager. His prior experience includes work with the largest National Residential PV installer providing channel account management with a national retailer and other business development activities. While working for a top PV manufacturer, he managed National accounts, Federal and Local government RFP responses, and he was the primary account manager for numerous residential integrators.
Mr. Adams graduated from Clarkson University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Distribution.
Kurt Pagon, Director
Mr. Pagon has over 17 years of experience in the banking/financial services industry including credit risk, relationship management, and investment banking roles at global financial institutions. During six years at KBC Bank as a Vice President of the Corporate and Structured Finance Group, he was responsible for growing a diversified portfolio of middle markets and large cap clients to $700 million. In this role, he utilized his origination and structuring experience to close transactions in energy, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive, food/organic food, industrials and leasing sectors. During his five years at HSBC Securities USA Inc as an Assistant Vice President in the corporate and investment banking unit, he managed a portfolio of energy, infrastructure finance, healthcare/pharmaceuticals and chemicals which he helped to grow from $3.0 billion to $7.0 billion. His academic qualifications include an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University and a BA from Baruch College.
Muhammad Irfan, Director
Mr. Irfan has more than nine years of marketing experience at the largest lamp manufacturer in Thailand in addition to his working experience with a major financial institution. His previous responsibilities include organizing and supervising banking services and operations, related functions and activities, marketing, and new product development. He has been involved in market analysis, planning and business strategy, team management, public relations and project management. Prior to joining AB Financing, Mr. Irfan worked as an Export Manager for LeKise Lighting Co. where he focused on expanding LED & non-LED product businesses around the world. He was the Manager of four regions including South Asia, Africa, Central Asia, and the Russian Federation. He was responsible for designing marketing and sales programs as well as assigning sales people to territories. He participated in various national and international exhibitions that gave opportunities to extend the brand visibility and provided training to staff to achieve sales goals. His academic qualifications include: a BA in Economics and an MBA in Finance from University of Sindh.
